Do I need an account to use the AI Coach?

Yes. The coach needs a free account — it saves your resume, the job you pasted and every line it writes, so there is something to come back to. Signing up takes about 30 seconds and never asks for a card. The resume builder is the one part of ResumeStudio you can try without an account.

How does the fit check work?

The coach extracts requirements from the job description once and freezes them. Each row is graded against your resume: checks out, partly there, or not shown — with a reason and a citation into the line, not a mystery score. It does not re-grade on its own. You ask, or the last open gap is settled, and only then does it look again.

Does the AI invent experience?

No. The coach only writes what you say. A fact you mention in chat counts toward the fit check only after it is written onto the resume. You can undo its latest change. If you don't have a requirement, you skip it — the coach will not fill the gap with plausible fiction.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

A chat window will write whatever sounds like a resume.
