The University of Toronto Career Exploration & Education unit teaches a Canadian résumé that prioritizes clarity for the Toronto job market — finance, consulting, tech, and increasingly fintech. The format follows Canadian conventions: 1–2 pages, single column, an optional Profile at the top, dates right-aligned, no photo. The published samples also distinguish between St. George, UTM, and UTSC campuses on the Education line.

• Length: 1–2 pages.
• Font: a clean serif or sans-serif at 10–12 pt.
• Margins: ~2 cm all sides.
• Dates: right-aligned, Month Year.
• Photo: never.

An optional Profile / Summary of Qualifications sits under the contact block, 2–4 lines. U of T's samples include it more often than US samples do, especially for applicants targeting Bay Street finance.

• Open with a verb that fits the work specifically.
• Name scope (team size, customers, dollar amount).
• Close with a measurable result.
• Treat work-study, PEY Co-op, and substantial volunteer leadership roles as full Experience entries.
• Cap each bullet at two lines.

• University of Toronto, then degree (e.g. HBA from Rotman Commerce, BSc with High Distinction), graduation date.
• Specify campus (St. George, Mississauga, Scarborough) — recruiters distinguish them.
• Include CGPA on the 4.0 scale if competitive.
• Honours / High Distinction noted on the degree line.
• PEY Co-op designation noted if applicable.

Skills at the bottom, grouped by Technical, Languages, and Certifications. List specific tools; for Rotman applicants, list modelling, valuation, and analytics tools explicitly.

• Omitting the campus when relevant — recruiters distinguish St. George, UTM, UTSC.
• Hiding PEY Co-op under "Internships". PEY is a U of T-specific designation worth naming.
• Photos.
• Mixing US and Canadian length conventions.
